Threshold
For the woman who has done the work and still doesn't feel free.
You've done more work on yourself than most people will do in a lifetime
and you still don't feel free.
You can articulate your patterns with precision. You've had real breakthroughs, moments where everything shifted and you thought, this is it. This is the one that's going to change everything.
And then Thursday came.
And you were right back in the same loop, wondering what is wrong with you. How you can teach this. How you can hold space for other people's transformations and still not be able to access it for yourself. How someone this self-aware can still feel this stuck.
"I felt trapped. But because circumstances in my life kept healing and improving, I shamed myself for feeling that way and couldn't get to the bottom of it. My life felt like Groundhog Day." — Lindsey Beasley, neurofeedback practitioner
Nothing is wrong with you.
You don't have an awareness problem. You have an integration problem.
The insight is real. The breakthroughs were real. What hasn't happened yet is the move from your head into your body, into the nervous system, into the unconscious patterns that no amount of knowing has ever been able to reach. That is the work we do here.
"I've been working my ass off on my healing journey for most of my life, therapy, workshops, healers, physical and spiritual modalities, you name it. And I'm grateful for all of it, but there is nothing and no one that has helped me as much as Ruthie has." — Emily Lichter, manager
I know what it feels like to be the most seen person in the room and the least known. To perform wholeness while falling apart inside. To spend years accumulating insight that never quite landed in the body. Everything I know about this work, I learned by living it first.
This is for you if you recognize yourself here.
You are one of the most devoted, self-aware women in any room you walk into. You are a student of this work. You invest in yourself without hesitation when something is right. You are respected, magnetic, and seen as someone who has it together.
And privately, you wonder why you can articulate exactly what's keeping someone else stuck and still lie awake at 2 am in the same loop you've been in for years.
You are not broken. You are at a threshold.
And you are ready.
This is not a program. It is a passage. It will ask things of you that no curriculum ever could.
The Threshold moves through three stages, each one building on the last, each one asking something different of you.
We begin with The Breaking Open. You already have awareness. You've done enough work to see your patterns clearly, to understand your wounds, to name what happened and why. But awareness without safety almost always turns into self-judgment. You see the pattern and then you make yourself wrong for having it. Here, we get to change that. Inside a container built on genuine safety, you begin to meet what you already know and the same patterns you've been beating yourself up for become something you can finally look at with curiosity and even tenderness. And because so much of what wounded you happened in relationship, the healing gets to happen in relationship too. First and most importantly, the relationship you build with yourself.
“There are so many magical things about working with Ruthie but one of the rarest is how quickly you will be able to access and be your truest most authentic self with her. During our first session I opened up in a way that I never had before, with anyone, letting myself be fully vulnerable and raw. This is Ruthie’s super power - to hold you in her beam of endless love so that you can strip away everything else and be fully seen in order to fully see yourself. I would not be the person I am today without my work with ruthie. I am so so grateful. If you are feeling called to this work, listen to it. You will not regret it.” -Mallory Erickson, executive coach
We move into The Descending.
Most of us learned early to override our body's yes and no. We were conditioned to belong, to be good, to be acceptable, and so we stopped listening to the one part of us that was always telling the truth. The Descending is where we learn to come back, to drop out of the mind and simply feel.
This is also where the unconscious lives. The wounded parts of us that learned they weren't allowed to be here, that had to go underground to keep us safe. We do not try to make them go away. We invite them in. We come into relationship with them, with curiosity and tenderness, and we finally give them what they have always needed: to be seen, to be welcomed, to belong. They do not have to drive anymore. But they do get to be here. Every part of you gets to come.
We go as slowly and as tenderly as the body needs. There is no rushing here. We learn to listen to what she is asking for, and we learn to trust what she says.
And we arrive at The Emergence.
This is where integration without action stops being enough. Insight that never moves is just more information. The Emergence is where you begin to take messy, aligned action, not because the fear is gone, but because your nervous system has built enough safety to move even when it is still there. Fear gets to come along. It just no longer drives. You stop waiting to feel ready and start trusting the version of yourself that is already ready. This is where the woman you have always known yourself to be stops being someone you are waiting to become and starts being someone you are living as.
And then the process begins again. New action surfaces new layers. New layers ask you to descend again, deeper than before. The threshold keeps moving. That is not a sign something is wrong. That is exactly what growth looks like. What changes is that you are no longer white-knuckling your way through it. You have a relationship with yourself now that can hold whatever comes next.
Throughout all of it, I am not here as the authority on your life. I am here as a mirror, reflecting back the greatness and the agency that have always been yours. You already have everything you need. This work is just how you learn to see it.
"You think you are a drop in the ocean. But you are also the ocean in a drop." — Rumi
"It has been six months of meeting my body over and over again and letting her lead me home." — client
"Safety is the baseline, love needs to go on top of that. Your coaching taught me how to put the love on top." — Angela Perger, Ayurvedic practitioner
Now let me tell you what this actually looks like, because the sacred and the practical are not separate here.
Three sessions a month. Not rushed. Not formulaic. Each one built from where you actually are, not where a curriculum says you should be.
Voxer access between sessions, real access, not performative access. Message me at 2am when something surfaces. Write to me on a Sunday when life cracks something open. Send voice memos, videos, photos, text. Use it like a diary, a direct line, a place to bring all of it in real time. I respond every weekday without exception. You will never wonder if I received you.
"I never have to wonder if she will show up. She is so consistent and so reliable. I feel wildly important to her. Like I genuinely matter to her." — client
"She is helping me heal so many relationship dynamics. When we started she said we would heal in relationship what was broken in relationship, and that felt so confusing to me. Like, how could a coach help me heal what was broken in my marriage? But it is happening and I am shocked." — client
Before we begin, I learn more about you, where the ache lives, what your desires are, and what has shaped the woman sitting at this threshold. Your dreams. Who you need to become to create that reality. What it would take to feel safe enough to actually let it happen. So that everything we build is built for you, not a template, not a framework, not what worked for someone else. You.
And then there is what happens beyond the sessions.
At least once a year, sometimes twice, I host a retreat exclusively for clients and past clients. It is not included in the container. It is an invitation. And what happens when you put a room full of women who are speaking the same language, doing the same depth of work, into a space together is something I could not have designed if I tried.
Two women met at one of these retreats and became so close that one of them moved to Nashville to live with the other. Four others planned a trip together to Los Angeles last fall and sent me a photo. The connections that form in these rooms are not incidental. They are what happens when women who have done the real work finally find each other. And for many of them, it is the first time they have been in a room where they didn't have to translate themselves.
Clients and past clients only. Always.
The Two-Day Intensive.
At the halfway point of our six months, I offer an optional two-day intensive held at my home. Additional, not included, and entirely your choice. You come and stay with me. I cook for you. We slow all the way down. We go deeper than a session allows, into ceremony, ritual, intention, energy work. Women arrive carrying something they've held for years. They leave knowing how to meet it with a tenderness they didn't have before.
This is the work that begins where awareness ends.
Most of the women who find their way here have already done significant inner work. They know their patterns. They can name what happened and why. They've had real breakthroughs. What hasn't happened yet is the move from knowing into embodied knowing, and from there into a life that actually reflects who they are. That is a different kind of work entirely. That is what we do here.
Every woman I work with is walking a path I know by heart. This is sacred work. I do not take it lightly.
"I am sleeping better, laughing more, and I have dramatically more hope. I am inspired and learning at a rapid rate. I am enjoying my life, deepening my relationships, and free from emotional baggage that felt like invisible weights I carried all the time. I am way more resourced with tools I can use every day to stay regulated. And I am more open minded than I have ever been." — client
"There is really no right or wrong way. There is no pressure. You really get to learn how to just be all of you." — Jasmine G., LMFT
"I feel so human and so holy in all the most beautiful ways." — Hannah, Mother
I work with a small number of women at a time. This is intentional. You will never be one of many. You will be fully seen, fully held, and fully known.
"Working with Ruthie doesn't prove she is magical, though she is. It proves that I am magical. The kind of strength that won't leave me. The kind that long after the coaching is over, I will still be connected to. No lack." — client
If something in you recognized itself reading this, not just intellectually, but in your body, that recognition is the threshold.
The next step is a free 30-minute conversation, just you and me, to feel whether this is a full-body yes.
My Promise to You
I will not try to fix you, because you were never broken. But I will sit with you in the places that feel too heavy to carry alone, until you remember they were never meant to break you.
I will see your wholeness, especially in the moments you are most certain it doesn't exist.
I will believe in the version of you that hasn't arrived yet, and I will hold that belief steady when yours runs out.
I will never ask you to abandon the parts of yourself that feel hard to love. I will help you get curious about them instead.
I will not let you stay small to stay safe. But I will never rush you. This work moves at the pace of trust.
I will remind you that the pain you've been trying to outrun is not your enemy. It is your most devoted teacher.
I will walk beside you, not ahead of you, because this is your journey, and only you can take the steps.
I will never stop doing my own work, so the space I hold for you stays clear, honest, and earned.
I will help you stop performing your healing and start living it.
I will work myself out of a job. Because the goal was never for you to need me. It was for you to finally trust yourself.
