A 2-hour workshop of
practices and meditations to go from self-loathing
to self-acceptance

How have you learned to talk to yourself so kindly? 
How do you have so much compassion for the older versions of you that made mistakes?

The truth is…I hated myself, my life, and my body for the majority of my life. These are the practices I have learned and integrated into my daily rituals to counteract the cruel, conditioned voice in my head. 

In this beginner workshop, we will move toward this first step through the lens of shadow work and full-body integration. I will share all that I have learned on this subject and the science of why we do it. We will do practices together and spend time in small groups so that you can be witnessed in your own journey. 

 

 

In this time, you will learn:

PRACTICES: These will be ways to notice and counteract the first thought you often have (which is usually pretty mean, limiting, and often hateful about yourself.) That first one is the conditioned story we have inherited through family, church, culture, etc. In this practice, I will share tools to speak love and compassion to that first thought.  

MEDITATION: You will be guided through a meditation to recognize, allow, inquire, love and commune with these parts of yourself that long to be seen in order for you to heal. 

MOVEMENT: You’ll be invited to dance with these parts too. This moves emotions out of or down into your body so that they can be fully felt and/or processed

INTEGRATION: We’ll introduce you to a mirror work practice that you can take with you to continue integrating this healing into your daily practices. 

What You’ll Need: 

  • 2 hours of time to be present with the group 

  • A mirror, pen and paper

  • Practical tools to continue learning to like yourself

Meet Your Host

Hi! I’m Ruthie. I am sharing this workshop with you because this has been my work. This is the work I do for myself every day and for every beautiful soul I have the honor of working with. I grew up hating my body and feeling that something was inherently wrong with me. I have shamed myself, been deeply critical, and wanted to die from deep emotional, physical, and spiritual trauma. 

I’m holding this workshop because these are the practices that have nurtured my own journey towards liking myself. I have held a lot of pain in my story. I was very unwell for a large majority of it and so everything I share today is the medicine I have so desperately needed.

These tools come from all the different modalities I have learned. I am excited to share them with you. They have helped take me from deep self-hatred to a beautiful relationship with myself, where I can honestly say that I truly enjoy and delight in myself, my life, my body, and the work I get to do in the world. I truly believe that this is accessible to everyone. This isn't mine, this is ours. This is your birthright beautiful soul.
